Roads less traveled
A successful road trip has three key components:
1. a comfortable vehicle equipped with fuel, driver, navigator, snacks, water, and of course a variety of road tunes.
2. a destination - even if the destination is unknown - it should at least be unique and interesting
3. a map
Spring and summer 2008 had the perfect mix of all of these components, and although there were others that joined us for some of these treks, the team of Spirit Photography (Ian Proctor) and Visual Musings Photography (Susan Knight) conquered a good portion of Alberta and Saskatchewan's roads less traveled...this is the journey.
A note to the viewer: photos on the driver's side (left) by Ian and photos on the navigator's side (right) by Susan.
Left Impressed
Everyone has seen them, those little marks in the sidewalk - footprints, cat tracks, leaves - left from someone or something pressing into wet concrete. Not the intentional ones, but the ones that seem so natural they could only have happened as the result of an accident – a fortuitous mishap. Leaving something interesting and often times beautiful in the place of something as commonplace as a city sidewalk; making an impression on the world, one imprint at a time.
